on Saturday 10/04/2010 After a fantastic season of cross-country races, we return to the roads this coming weekend. We start off on Saturday 10th April with the Dublin City Council races at St. Anne’s Park in Raheny. The women’s race will be 2 miles and will start at 11.00am and the men’s race will be 4 miles and will start at 11.30am.

Registration and changing facilities at St. Paul’s College on Sybil Hill.

The course is considered a fast one and many runners may feel it represents an opportunity for personal best times.

This is always a great race that shows off nicely the beautiful park and the services provided by Dublin City Council. They also tend to have a great range of prizes – not just for individuals and teams in the races themselves but also for quiz and spot prizes.

The prize presentations will be between 12.30 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. in the Gym hall, St. Paul’s College. Dick Hooper, former Olympian and Dublin Marathon winner, will present the prizes.

Dublin City Council runners – notably the late, great, Noel Carroll – were among the founders of the BHAA in 1979 and we are privileged to have numerous committed BHAA members from the Council to put on this race (and others) for us each year.

Get there and enjoy the day.
