Making The Most of Your Race Listing on

Listing your event on has many benefits including exposure to a wide range of engaged followers and fans of running, jogging, adventure racing, triathletes and obstacle course enthusiasts.

To make the most of your listing we suggest you include as much information as possible within each section of the submission form below. Within the event description section be sure to include as much information as possible so people can make an informed decision about your event.

Suggested Information

  • Who is hosting / organising the event, who will the event benefit?
  • What does the event entail, is it suitable for walkers, joggers, experienced athletes and participants, is there a fun or kids element to it?
  • When does it take place, what time is registration/ packet pick up on race day,
  • Where does it take place, is the course flat, fast, hilly, off-road, coastal,  undulating or has it PB potential?

Welcome to the most scenic and challenging 10 mile off-road runs anywhere!

The route takes you deep into rugged west Cork, following a section of the world-renowned Sheep’s Head Way.

The mountainous route has an elevation gain of close to 500 metres, following minor roadways, laneways and mountain paths as it climbs to bring you along the top of the ridge of the Sheep’s Head Peninsula.

The Glanlough Loop route owes its name to the Glanlough Lake you descend and circle along the way, you are surrounded by spectacular mountain, coastal and sea views abound on all sides.

Beginning and finishing at the Tin Pub in Ahakista, walkers depart at 9.30am, with runners starting two hours later at 11.30am.

There will be water stations on the route with light refreshments in the Tin Pub garden post-race.
