Docklands Fun Run

0

This year the Fun Run will start and finish at Grand Canal Square on the South side of the river Liffey. This year we have selected Irish Autism Action as the charity to benefit from the event. Last year, the event attracted it’s largest ever attendance and exceeded all expectations – over 2,000 runners, joggers and walkers. This year, we will only be offering online registration and will be capping this at 2,500 participants. The event is officially approved by the Athletic Association of Ireland.

The route will again take participants around the Docklands, starting around Grand Canal Square, through Ringsend, over the East Link bridge and past newly opened 02 and the up the quayside past the chq building, over the Matt Talbot Bridge and back up the southside quays to finish in Grand Canal Square. As usual there will be a range of prizes for the winners as well as goodies for all finishers.

Also for the first time this year, as part of the entry fee, each participant will receive a timing chip so everyone will get their exact race time. The exact route will be announced shortly and will be available on www.dublindocklands.ie

Irish Autism Action was established in 2001 and campaigns for the rights and entitlements of people with Autism. The charity also acts a valuable information and advice resource on a range of topics. For further information visit www.autismireland.ie
