Press release This Saturday’s 36th IAAF Antrim International Cross-Country meeting in Greenmount takes place in conjunction with the NI & Ulster Senior Cross Country Championships and sees the top three from the European Championships taking part in the women’s race.
Winner Fionnuala Britton (Kilcoole AC) once again takes on Ana Dulce Felix of Portugal and Adrienne Herzog of the Netherlands after a second victory over them both in Edinburgh last weekend. Herzog finished second in Edinburgh while Felix was fifth, just pipping DSD’s Linda Byrne who should also challenge strongly for a podium pace. The Wicklow woman will also face up against European Under-23 champion Jessica Coulson who landed the European Under-23 gold last month on the same Budapest course where Britton retained her senior title. The women’s senior race starts at 2.25pm.
