27th Patrick Bell memorial 5k run & walk

Bohermeen AC Chairman Stephen Ball is asking 1000 people to run or walk, families and children especially for the Children of St Michaels Autism centre in Trim

Bohermeen AC Will bid to draw 1000 runners and walkers to the central Meath village on Saturday June 9th for the 27th hosting of the Patrick Bell memorial 5k run and walk, the event is now one of the most popular athletic fixtures on the calendar. Over the past 10 years the event has helped raise over 70 thousand euro for worthy causes and this years the cause is CHILDREN. St Michaels Centre for Autism in Trim which provides the door to the new beginning for many children will be this years beneficiary.
The 5k in recent times has drawn hundreds (with 830 taking part in 2011) from far and wide to not only run but walk the distance and ,making it a real community event. This year each finisher will receive a beautiful Olympic Gold medal for this efforts to coincide with this years London Olympics
 

Awards as usual in all grades in all races, chip timing excellent post race refreshments. Showers, parking all at Bohermeen community centre race headquarters . Venue is just 3 miles off the new M3 at Navan and 30 miles from the GPO
