Race date 2018 is fast approaching for the popular Bay Run held in the beautiful setting of Bantry, Co. Cork.
Over 580 entrants raised in excess of €11,000 for the Bantry Hospice and various local and national charities when they took part in The Bay Run 10k and half marathon in May of last year.
Following the success of the 2017 event, organisers of the popular running event are on the final countdown to another successful day out in 2018. This year’s Bay Run will take place on Sunday, May 20 on the same scenic route as last year, with plenty of opportunities for participants to chase personal bests on the stunning course.
Community Spirit
The Bay Run last year was a true community event with locals turning out in huge numbers both to lend a hand and also to cheer on the participants and this year plans to be no different. The community spirit and support shown to the event and its participants was fantastic, this year t an even bigger and better event is expected in the West Cork town.
