This WAR is a treat for cycle enthusiasts. Combing two of the most iconic cycles in Wicklow, the Shay Elliott and Slieve Mann.
Couple this with two spectacular runs Djouce Mountain and Croaghanmoira and finish up with a dip in a river and a muddy obstacle course; and you are bound to feel great about yourself, well maybe not straight away!
The full WAR course involves 59km over 5 stages
Mountain Run 10km follwed by a 22 km cycle over the iconic climbs
Run up and over Croaghanmoira Mountain and back
385m ascent folloed by a 19 cycle back to Glenmalure
there is a 300 m water and obstacle course before the finish.
WAR-Sport 30km over 3 stages.
10km mountain run floowed by a 19km cycle over the Shay elloitt and returning to Glenmalure.
Like the Full War, there is a 300 m water and Obstacle course before the finish.
