Due to popular demand, the Mattie Carden Memorial 10k run/walk will take place again – on Saturday 9th March 2013. The run/walk will start at 12.30 p.m. in Enniscrone. The 2012 inaugural run was to mark the 20th anniversary of Mattie Carden’s death. Mattie was the lucky recipient of a kidney transplant in 1989, thanks to the generosity of a very special donor. The Irish Kidney Association, who were instrumental in supporting Mattie on dialysis, before, during and after his transplant are once again the chosen charity for all funds raised.
