The first ever Half-Marathon and 10K road race in County Leitrim will take place in Manorhamilton on 11th September 2010. The Half Marathon will start at 12 noon followed by the 10km at 12:15pm. This run will be a major annual event for both serious athletes as well as casual runners and walkers. The main purpose of the run is to raise funds for the North West Hospice. The Hospice provides an invaluable service for people who face a life-threatening illness as well as vital supports for their families. Much of their resources are dependent on voluntary fundraising.
