Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for all age categories. There will also be prizes for relay teams (male, female, mixed) and clubs (best three, male and female
Entry: The number of participants will be limited to 350 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Entries are not transferable and a waiting list shall apply if the event is oversubscribed.

*NB* Under TI regulations for insurance purposes a 1 day licence fee of €15.00 (Stg £10) is charged to athletes who do not appear on the 2008 TI membership database on race day. If at least one of the team does not have a Triathlon Ireland Licence the entry fee is €105 or its equivilant. Approved cycling helmets must be worn during the cycle.
Timing: Champion chip timing will be in use.

Parking: On 20th June the road between the gate lodge and the sailing club will be closed between 10:00 and 14:00 (except for emergency vehicles and resident access). The public car park at the beach will be accessible for competitors up to 09.30 or when full to capacity if earlier. At 09:30 the entrance will be closed and competitors will not be able to remove cars until roads are reopened at 14:00. Alternative parking is available in the village. Competitors are encouraged to arrive early and avoid causing an obstruction with cars.

Road safety: Roads will remain open to traffic for the event, with the exception of a short stretch close to the finish. Competitors should obey the rules of the road and exercise due caution when presented with a hazard. Instructions from gardai should be followed. Competitors deemed to be cycling dangerously or without consideration to others will be disqualified or penalised by race marshals.

Civil Defence and Order of Malta (ambulance) will be in attendance on the day
Registration: Registration will take place at the times indicated above at the sailing club. Body marking will be done at registration. One day licence check will be done at registration. A race information board will be on display. Goody bags, race numbers and swim caps will be distributed. Registration will close at 08.30 sharp on race day and participants are strongly advised to register on the previous evening. Unregistered entrants will not be allowed compete.
