Carney Lisadell 10k

0

Looking forward to the fifth annual Carney Lisadell 10k, which will be once again taking place on Easter Monday 25th of April. This years charities will be the Oxfield Sports Centre (www.oxfield.ie/carney10k) and the Sligo Family Resource Centre ([email protected], 071-9146315). Both of these are deserving charities, and sponsorship cards can be procured from either of the charities. Online entry through www.runireland.com is a recession proof €12, which includes chip timing, and entry to the New Sligo Race League, with entry on the day being €14. The route will go from Carney Village, through the beautiful Lisadell Estate, along the sea front, and back to Carney Village. All who have taken part over the last couple of years will be keen to return, and will hopefully bring along a few friends. Afterwards there will be the usual afters in the Oxfield Sports Centre. The runners will start at 12 noon, with walkers starting at 11:30 and kids races taking place in advance of both at 11am. The kids races will be free entry and there will be medals for all kids taking part.
People are advised to arrive by 11am, as there may be slightly more time required to get everyone onto the chip timing, and it takes around 10 – 15 mins to get from Oxfield to the start line.
Further details can be gotten from Mel Casserly (086-8169126 or [email protected])

The Sligo Race League is currently being organised, but has a number of races on board already. €1 from every entry to each race will go towards the league, with all monies being returned in prizes. More details will follow in relation to the races included in the league.
