‘Route 2 Crook’ is a 5 mile road race run from Goleen – Crookhaven in West Cork which is the most scenic coastal run in Ireland. It is organised by Mizen Rovers Underage GAA as a fundraiser for the club. This year the MAIN RUNNERS will start at an earlier time of 11am near the grotto at the entrance to Goleen. Registration will take place in Goleen Community Centre from 9am – 10.30pm. There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female plus prizes all the other categories. There is also a prize for the 1st local male and 1st local female. Entry is €10.
Walkers and fun runners will start at 10am also near the grotto. For those competitive walkers there will be a prize for the 1st male and 1st female to the finish in Crookhaven.Casual Walkers and fun runners can start whenever they have registered. There will be spot prizes for all walkers. €10 Entry Fee.
U16’s (2½ miles) will be bused from the Community Centre before 10.20am to their starting line for a 10.30am start. €5 Entry Fee
There will be a cuppa and fine grub for all competitors at the finish in Nottage’s followed by presentation of prizes.
