The Lough Allen 8K takes place on Sunday August 9th. The race starts from St Hugh’s Park, Ballinaglera. follows the Drumshanbo Road to Cleighran More Jetty before turning back to the park. Participants and spectators will have spectacular views of Lough Allen and the surrounding countryside along the way.
The route is relatively flat as you can see from the attachment. The event is not offically timed. Prizes First Male, First Female, First U-18 Male and First U-18 Female.
There will also be a 5K County Ramble for families and for individuals looking for something more leisurely.
This will be the opening event to the Ballinaglera GAA Sports Day with a host of activities for all the family throughout the afternoon and admission being included for all walkers and runners. Refreshments will be provided and there is also a complementary BBQ burger for all 8K race participants.
Entry is €10 per adult for the run and the walk is €10 per family.
