It is a multisport event designed to cater for both experienced and lesser experienced sports people and also those with a specialist discipline such as running, biking, swimming or paddling.
The Event will take place on the 12th of September .
The categories for the Achill Roar are:
•Sports Solo
•Expert Solo
•Expert Relay Teams
Relay teams can be composed of either 2 or 3 persons sharing the 3 disciplines.
The discipline’s for the Achill ROAR event are:
•Running – Mainly off road
•Cycling – On Tarmac suitable for any type of bike
•Swimming or Paddling a Sit on Top Kayak (Kayaks Supplied)
Approximate course distances and order of the disciplines are:
Sport Solo:
Run 8km
Swim 400m or Kayak 1300m
Bike 22km
Beach Dash to Finish
Expert Solo and Expert Relay Teams:
Run 16km
Swim 800m or Kayak 2600m
Bike 44km
Beach Dash to Finish
Cost of entry is as follows:
Early Entries – Up to 15th July: – €40 solo and €90 Team
Regular Entries -16th July to 31st August:- €45 solo and €100 Team
Late Entries – 1st to 7th September:- €55 solo and €120 Team

Saturday 12th Sept: 0900 to 0930 hrs – Limited check-in – Sport Solo Only
