O’ Lionaird Wins NB Boston Grand Prix

Ciaran O’ Lionaird (Leevale AC) and Mark English (Letterkenny AC) made it a memorable night on the US indoor tracks with big wins last night in Boston and New York respectively.

Race two of Lifford AC’s 5K series saw yet another large contingent of athletes take to the roads around Raphoe, on Sunday for what is turning out to be a hugely successful three race series.

A beautiful morning for road running saw 162 athletes take to the starting line for the first St.Johnston/Carrigans 5K and the first 5K of the 3 race series hosted by the Lifford club.

Byrne Achieves Olympic Standard at Dublin Marathon

The big Irish performance of the day at the National Lottery Dublin Marathon belonged to Linda Byrne, who as well as winning the women’s Woodie’s DIY nationalmarathon title, also achieved the A standard runnig 2:36.21 (inside the Olympic A standard of 2:37).
