Donadea Forest Duathlon Series Co. Kildare – race 2

4

This event is one of the best duathlon routes that Ireland has to offer, starting with a 5.2km forest run past the Donadea forest castle and lake, then out onto quiet country roads for one lap of just over 21K continuous route, very flat and fast, on return you have to complete the 5.2 km run to the finish line.

The race has in the past seen both male and female National Champions a Collegiate Duathlon Champion and the winner of the Motivate 65 challenge take glory. The current womens record is held by Elis Conway and David Duke holds the mens record. We pride ourselves on our motto “Finishing is the achievement” and always look forward to first timers where we will be on call for: any questions, advice or some small mechanical repairs prior to the event.

New this year the event will be chip timed and all entries received one week prior to the event will receive a Race T shirt. We have also added a series discount price. Local Scout troup will receive a donation for marshalling the event.

  1. Hi Tony Race organiser here, the €20 price was a mistake it should have read €25 for one entry, which logically follows with the discounted prices of €45 for two and €60 for three. I have amended this page, and also will amend the 24th Sept page as this has the same error.

  2. Is there an age limit for the Donadea Duathlon? My 14 yr old would like to do it with me. Also we are beginners, Is it suitable for us? We have done a good bit of cycling so that part should be fine, but may struggle in the second 5.2 k run – is there a time limit for finishing? Thanks
