Keeping the Events Team Motivated

0

From the Irish Cancer Society Colour Dash to Run Galway Bay, The RunIreland.com events team have a long but exciting event season.

The RunIreland event season features 9 events – 4 Colour Dashes in Galway, Limerick, Cork and Dublin, The Portumna Forest Marathon, the two-day Tough Mudder event, Connemara 100 and Run Galway Bay – and runs from May to October.

For the majority of our team, they work their desk job from Monday-Friday and then we come together on the weekends to provide a brilliant event for each participant. In some cases, this means working 7 day weeks but amazingly, keeping everyone’s morale in high spirits is never too much of a challenge. As they say, if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life. Being out in the fresh air and having to get hands-on in the work is a pleasant change from being stuck behind a screen all week.

Our top tips to keep everyone motivated are to work in groups which allows for a bit of chatty banter and ‘craic’, make sure there is loads of tea and biscuits at hand and don’t be afraid to get down and dirty.
