
It’s been running since 1986 with 2018 the 33rd edition of the iconic Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8k hosted by Galway City Harriers. This year’s event takes place on Saturday, August 11th at 7pm.
Sport For All
The event has grown into one of the most prestigious road races in the country, yet remains true to its original motto of Sport for All, as many locals and visitors take on the event year in year out. The event will bring 3,000 participants onto the streets of Galway City and suburbs into what is a fantastic event and evening of road running.
Famous Landmarks
This race route tours through the famous City of the Tribes starting at Fr Griffin Road in the city taking in many of the infamous sights including the Spanish Arch, Eyre Square, Galway Cathedral and NUI Galway. It takes in Salthill, via Pearse Stadium and then back in the ‘Prom’ along Galway Bay for a fast section into the finish at the historic Claddagh.
Race Entry
An early-bird rate of €20 will be available until midnight on Wednesday 11th July, after which a standard entry-fee of €25 will apply. Click HERE to register for this year’s event.
