The event which is open to adults, kids and relay teams follows on from the success of Belfast’s first ever Off-Road Duathlon that took place last October. Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park will play host to the event which involves a run on the grass, followed by a cycle, followed by a second run and this year the event is supported by leading independent sports retailer Podium 4 Sport, Belfast’s McConvey Cycles, Belfast City Council and Triathlon Ireland and is helping to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The event is being organised under a Triathlon Ireland permit and all competitors must have a Triathlon Ireland licence or a One-Day Licence (ODL) which can be purchased for £5 / €5 for an adult or £1 / €1 for a child. These can be purchased at www.triathlonireland.com.
