The Wild Goose Chase 10/5k returns for its 5th year on Saturday 3rd December 2016 at 12 noon
Starting and finishing at the Westerns GFC grounds in Reaghstown, Ardee (just off the main Dublin/Derry road between Ardee and Carrickmacross opposite Dooley’s Pub) with proceeds going towards redevelopment of the grounds and Ardee Hospice Homecare.
The course follows a scenic and historic route through unspoilt countryside with views of the Cooley Mountains and Slieve Gullion. It also passes the site of the infamous Wild Goose Lodge with the 10k route passing Knockabbey Castle. At one point in both routes there is a view of 5 counties no less.
Open to runners/walkers of all ages and abilities. Fully chip timed with accurately measured courses. Refreshments after. Car parking and changing facilities available.
This year there will be a specially commissioned medal for all finishers. Prizes in various age categories.
Perfect way to kick off the festive season.
