This Half Marathon & relay has also a dedicated walking section that gets a head start on the runners. This flat and fast course starts on the famous Wexford Quays and goes through the beautiful gardens of Johnstown Castle. The mix of urban and rural sights give great scenic variety. All finishers get a medal and sandwiches at the finish line in the Talbot hotel. Included: Race number, Technical Training Top, Shower, Timing Chip, Finishers Medal, 4 x aid stations, DJ at the finish, Sandwiches Tea & Coffee in Talbot Hotel. Accurately measured course. We have a new prize fund structure. Its 1-3 in Senior, Vets and Masters M+F I am very excited about the new course. The highest elevation point is 75m which has a gradual span from 4km to 7.5km. Think of the 100m race. It only goes ¾ of the height of this if put the track up vertically. From 7.5km it is practically downhill all the way to km 21.1….. Anyway a picture tells a thousand words so we have an elevation map on the front page of the website. The course will go through Johnstown Castle which is a tourist icon for the County with stunning gardens (you might get caught in a Wedding photo as you pass through!!!)
