MEMBERSHIP CARDS FOR 2009
All membership cards are now being posted out. Once your membership has been processed you will receive an email with your TI number. You will then receive a second email notifying you when your card is in the post. When you receive your card, can you please check to ensure that you have received the correct card. eg. If you applied for Full membership, please ensure your card reads “Full Membership”. If you have receive the incorrect card, please contact our office immediately by sending an email to [email protected]

Duathlon European Championships, Budapest, Hungary
Applications have now closed for the Duathlon European Championships being held in Budapest 23-24 May 2009. Notification has been sent to all athletes who have been approved by post. Trilogy’s Junior Aquathon: Entries are now open for the Trilogy Junior Aquathon (National Junior Championships 2009), being held on 13th June, with four aged-based race distances catering for junior racers aged 9-19. Taking place at the start of the Summer Holidays from school (Saturday 13 June), entrants will complete a swim of between 150m and 750m at Portlaoise’s new leisure centre, before racing around the centre’s ground to complete a run of between 1km and 5km. The cost of entry for all is just €5.00 and each finisher is guaranteed a goody bag, t-shirt, medal and certificate. Gatorade Dublin City Tri: The Gatorade DCT 09 is now open for entries. The race fee this year will be 50euro – this is for the third year running! There will also be a “Super Sprint” in parallel with this year’s race for beginners and new-to triathlon. The distance will be slightly below a standard sprint distance.

Focus Ireland Fundraising Triathlon Committee Members Required
Focus Ireland need your expertise to help deliver an outstanding triathlon at Grand Canal Square in 2009. We are currently looking for new members to join the Focus Ireland Triathlon race organisers committee. Committee members are needed in the following areas (1) assistant swim marshal (2) course set up marshal (3) transition area marshal (4) volunteer marshal. We need your expertise before the event and your help during set up on Sat August 1st and race day on Sunday August 2nd. Focus Ireland will make all arrangements with 3rd parties for the event and will have a team of volunteers to work with you on set up and on race day.
The Focus Ireland Triathlon aims to raise €200,000 to help people who are homeless, here at Focus Ireland we know all about fear and despair, we have seen the heartbreak and misery that confronts many people who become homeless. You can help lift that fear and despair by volunteering your expertise and time to help the most marginalized men, women and children in our society.
