For those of you non-Canadians here is a little information on Terry Fox’s mission:
Terry Fox was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma at the age of 18 which resulted in an above knee amputation. He saw so much suffering during the time he was being treated that he decided to raise money for Cancer research by running across Canada. He started his run on April 12, 1980 in St. John’s Newfoundland. Terry Fox made it to Thunder Bay Ontario where we was forced to stop his run as the cancer had spread to his lungs. Terry Fox died on June 28, 1981 at the age of 22.
Although Terry Fox could not finish his run, Canadians, and now people around the world, have continued to run in his honour to raise money for research into the disease that took his life.

We hope you will join us at 10:30 am on October 17th in Phoenix Park to help us continue Terry Fox’s mission.
