The second COPE Galway/Enable Ireland 5k Bay Relay of 2012 will take place on Thursday 26th July at 7.00pm. Teams of 3 run 5Km by the sea in a relay race, starting at Southpark the flat and fast loop takes in the Grattan Headland and Salthill Promenade finishing back at Southpark. A 5k Bay run has been added to the line up for the Summer event for those who wish to run the course as an individual. Both races are AAI approved.
There are 3 categories of entry for the Relay; Club, Corporate and General Public. Any club or company who enters a minimum of 5 teams will have one of their teams crowned with the ‘Fastest team’ trophy on the night. Everyone who enters the race as part of a team or individual will be entered into a draw to win a year’s membership of the Kingfisher Club (Renmore / NUIG).
Proceeds from the event will support the work of both COPE Galway and Enable Ireland who provide essential services to people in our community.
