Stook Ten Mile Road Race Dungarvan Church, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny

We will be accepting entries on the day from 10.00am – 11:30am in the Parish Hall, in Dungarvan Village, Gowran, Kilkenny.

Stook 10 is hosted by Gowran AC and is set over an challenging but enjoyable 10-mile route. In choosing the route for the Stook Ten, we went looking for an end-of-year road race challenge that will be fun to compete in and offer an epic finishing couple of miles. Stook Ten provides a chance to experience some of Kilkenny’s most beautiful scenery, the Stook Ten winds across gentle valleys and up country roads before emerging at the crest of Stook Hill. With stunning views down to the finish, every participant will be rewarded with a super fast 2 miles of continuous downhill to the finish line in Dungarvan village.

- online results will be available on the same day
- the local community will be out in force to support (and the home bakers are already set to provide a mouthwatering range of cakes and sandwiches)

This is a club run race, we have hosted the leinster masters and novices championships for the last three years in a row and place great emphasis on getting the small details right for the runners .
Main Prizes
There will be 3 winners prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male & Female (€150,€75, €50).
We have extended our category prizes to the following There will also be prizes for M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65 plus F40, F45 & F50, F55, F60,F65
Athletic club teams will have the opportunity to race for the Liam Kealy perpetual shield, awarded to the leading mixed team (2 men and 2 women to score). The leading team will also win €100.00
King & Queen of Stook
The first man and woman over Stook who do not win a main or category prize will win an Altitude gift voucher.

Directions
The race starts from Dungarvan Church, 3 miles south of Gowran village, which is 15 minutes drive from J7 on the M9 motorway. There will be changing facilities, refreshments, sandwiches and cake for all in the parish hall afterwards!
