Race Director, Eamonn Coghlan, gets double honour being appointed St. Patrick’s Day parade Grand Marshall Upwards of 2,000 expected at KBC Asset Management St. Patrick’s Festival 5K road race that returns to Dublin City after 7 year absence Upwards of 2,000 runners, walkers and strollers will throng Dublin’s streets on Sunday 16th March 2008 at 10.00am when the City’s first road race in 7 years takes place. Registration is brisk for the family affair with participants registering online at www.msb5k.com. Today, the KBCAM 5k Race Director, Eamonn Coghlan, was given the double honour of being appointed Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The race is part of the St. Patrick’s weekend festival and has a prize fund of €6,000 in individual, team and random prizes along with souvenir t-shirts, goodie bags, prizes for fancy dress costume. The race organisers are Metropolitan Harriers & St. Brigid’s A.C. in association with Dublin City Council. The sponsors are KBC Asset Management, one of the country’s leading fund managers. The event will support the development of young athletes at Metropolitan Harriers & St. Brigid’s Athletic Club.
