St. Clare’s Comprehensive, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim are holding the annual 10k fun run/walk and the 4k fun run/walk on Sunday 21st April 2013. All funds raised will be used for the purchase of sporting equipment for the school. This is the fourth year of run and it has proven very popular, both locally and in the surrounding area. It is a fun day out for participants and spectators.
The 10k will commence at 12.30 pm, followed by the 4k at 12.35pm. Registration on the morning of the race in the school gym from 10.00 am – 12 noon. Pre-registered participants (registered on runireland) can collect numbers before the race from the pre-registered desk. Runireland on-line entry system open until Friday 20/04 at 3 p.m.
The 4k is a fun run for kids up to age 12. This run will start on Ross Lane and participants will run 2k out the Carrick road and 2k back.
There will be fun activities, face painting, music and refreshments in the school gym after the event. Medals for the first 5 male and first 5 female participants in the 10k and the first 5 girls and 5 boys in the 4k run/walk.
