Splash & Dash Fintra 2014 is a fun filled land, beach & sea obstacle course with approx 7km of walking, running, crawling and wading through man made and natural obstacles. There is no swimming involved in this course, however you will get wet! A 2km Junior Dash will also be held for kids aged 4-10 years old. Various obstacles include crawling under nets, hopping through tyres, climbing up sand hills and lots more challenges. If you don’t want to enter individually there is the option of entering as a team of 4. Keep up to date on our website and through Facebook and Twitter! The Junior Dash begins at 10:30am and the Adult Event begins at 12:00pm. The Junior Dash begins down at the old Fintra pitch (near The Clock Tower) and the adult events begins at the new Eamonn Byrne Memorial GAA Pitch. (beach road). All participants i.e. junior and adult must sign in/register at the Eamonn Byrne Memorial GAA pitch. If applying online bring confirmation email on the day. Adults €25 (plus processing fee) Juniors €5 (plus processing fee). Parking is available at Eamonn Byrne GAA pitch or The Clock Tower. As you will get wet bring a warm change of clothes. Shower & changing facilities will be available at the GAA pitch. Refreshments after at pitch. Key Drop available on day. There is also a prize giving presentation and an auction with finger food and entertainment afterwards in The Clock Tower at 7pm. Entertainment provided by ‘The Big Jigs’.
