Come and race through the streets of Sligo in a commemorative event to mark the 175th anniversary of The Sligo Champion newspaper. Run in conjunction with Sligo AC, this unique event will see runners traverse a flat, accurately measured 5k course through Sligo’s historic streets. An AAI permit has been granted and chip timing will ensure accurate finish times. The race will start and finish in the city’s main street, O’Connell Street. Commemorative t-shirt for all runners/walkers with first, second and third placed prizes in several categories for male and female runners including senior, junior, over 40, over 45, over 50 and over 60. Post race refreshments will be provided.
