Online Registration opened this morning for the 2022 edition of Ireland’s premier mountain race, the Seven Sisters Skyline organised by Excel Sports, who will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of the event.
Yesterday we caught up with event organiser Eunan Quinn who said:
“Our 2021 event on August 14th could not have gone better from start to finish. The weather was perfect on race morning, everything ran like clockwork from the off and we were all just excited to be back at the start line of an Excel Sports event. We set out to make the Seven Sisters Skyline the biggest and best mountain race in Ireland and I think everyone from the runners to the volunteers really came together on the day to help us achieve that.”
Looking ahead to the 2022 event on May 21st, Eunan added: “2022 will be the 5th anniversary of the event and to celebrate that we are increasing the prize fund to 5,000 Euro for the 55k event. The event across both the 55km and the 30km routes will be capped at a total of 500 runners at the start line so we expect to reach our capacity and sell out earlier than ever this year.”
