The Clanard Court Hotel is teaming up with personal trainer, Karl Henry on 9th September to for a fun run with a difference, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

“The wedding season is upon us and it’s usually around this time that brides for next year start thinking about their wedding fitness regime, so we decided to help them start off on the right foot with the help of Karl Henry”, say Mary Fennin-Byrne, Managing Director of the Clanard Court.

Entrants can join Karl for a workshop to get the latest tips on getting their body wedding ready followed by a 5km fun run where they will dance away to wedding bands, sip champagne and enjoy a post-wedding BBQ along the route! “With so many brides, it’s all or nothing when it comes to getting their body wedding ready, when in fact just a few simple changes to their exercise and eating habits will do wonders in the lead up to their big day”, says Karl Henry, Personal Trainer.

But, you don’t have to be a bride to join in according to Mary. “The fun run is open to everyone – male and female, however we thought it would provide a fun atmosphere to theme the event and there will be plenty of surprises along the way to keep the runners, joggers and walkers motivated to finish the 5km route”.

Entry is €29 and includes

• Free workshop with Karl Henry on getting your body wedding ready • Light breakfast at the Clanard Court Hotel during workshop • A copy of Karl Henry’s latest fitness guide • Fun run entry • BBQ at the finishing line with complimentary glass of bubbles

“The Clanard Court has come up with a great way to get people thinking about their health and fitness but have a little fun at the same time. I’ll be on hand throughout the day to offer fitness advice, keep everyone motivated and, most importantly, celebrate their great achievement at the finish line!” says Karl.
