None The third leg of the 25.5 Triathlon was held on Saturday 19th of September. This event was challenging regarding a brand new course from the swim to the bike and run.

We had everything, the weather, lovely calm water, nice bike course and a lovely run course. It was just to good to be true…..so on the sunny day I extended the run from a 5km to a 5 mile.

The day was too good to end so early on my race director side, and there was a little bay to contemplate which I could possibly not miss in this event. Or can I just simply need to acknowledge that I used miles instead of kilometres. After all they all run the same and I think the happiness and comments on the day really brought this race to another standard.

We also had a mini Triathlon won by Darragh Bailey on tight sprint to the finish with Maebh Hurst. Sarah Kelly finished 3rd only a few seconds behind them with another great performance.

We also had a 1km fun run with 13 mothers, children and buggies…..it was just brilliant.

I will let the pictures talk by themselves, and of course every participant who wish to receive the full pictures on CD just need to drop me an email with their address on the runireland website.
