A very warm welcome to everyone who is taking part in this event. We hope you have a very enjoyable time taking part. Below are a few pointers that you will need to know about for the event.

Transition

Transition will be in the top car park in Rinville Park. Only competitors will be allowed in transition for safety and security. Competitors will be able to put their bike on the racks provided. You will be given some support from marshals if you are unsure of what to do. No large boxes or kit bags will be allowed in transition. There will be a bag drop for all competitors.

Run route One.

The run route will start at the main entrance to the top car park in Rinville. Competitors will go through the gate beside the graveyard and head down in to the park on the main path. The route will turn right and head past the outdoor fitness park and past the buildings keeping on the main path. Once you pass the old Rinville House the road swings left and heads back to the forest area. When the road passes the shelter competitors will take the right turn and head down and then up the hill back into the car park and transition by a small entrance.

Run route Two.

The second run will be a reversal of the first run route which leaves by the small gap in the top car park, down the hill and take a left at the shelter. Competitors go around the main track, past Old Rinville House and back past the toilet building and the outdoor park. They will then take a left and run back up the hill to the finish line which will be the gates along the graveyard.

Cycle route

The cycle route will on open roads and all competitors must abide by the rules of the road. Please obey marshals especially at road junctions.

The cycle will leave transition and go left out of the car park, almost immediately there will be a right turn towards Maree. Competitors will head through Maree past the hall and petrol station. Further along this road the route turns left towards Clarenbridge. Once in Clarenbridge turn left onto the main road. This road is very busy at times so do take care.

Now competitors are heading along the newly surfaced N17 back towards Oranmore. Another left turn will bring the cyclists past the Lidl store before turning left again along the Maree road back to Rinville Park. A right turn will bring competitors back into transition for the final run.

Marshals will be on every turn junction.
