This event is particularly special to ACT and to Siobhan and Noel as it takes place on the weekend of Aoibhes 8th anniversary. Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us and for remembering Aoibhe. We wish you the very best of luck and we hope you enjoy the race

Remembering Aoibhe 5k Race Details:

Race Number Collection: Your number will be ready for collection at the following times/locations; Friday 3rd April 3-6pm @ Galway Bay Golf & Country Club, Renville Park, Oranmore OR Sunday 4th 9.00-10.30am @ Galway bay Golf Resort Hotel, Renville Park, Oranmore. Please arrive early on Sunday for number collection as road restrictions will be in place from 10.30am.

Parking is available at the Galway Bay Golf Resort Hotel but access to this carpark will be closed at 10.30. If you arrive after 10.30 very limited parking is available in the park carparks, which is a considerable walk to number collection point. While carparks are marshalled, ACT for Meningitis will not be held responsible for items left unattended here, at race HQ, or at the start line.

NOTE: Start line is approx. 1km from race HQ at Galway Bay Golf Hotel.

Toilet facilities are available at the hotel. Two portable toilets will be placed at the Start Line and one at the Finish Line.

Please attach your race number to the front of the t-shirt you will be wearing during the race using the safety pins provided. Your race number should be visible at all times. Your race chip is incorporated into your race number.

Race warm up will be outside Race HQ at 10.30am sharp following which all participants will be asked to proceed to the start line. Please pay close attention to the marshals and the Race briefing during this time. Race will begin at 11am sharp. If you are a walker please start at the back of the field to allow runners to get away safely. During the race please obey the marshals instructions and be considerate of other runners at all times. Use of iPods and other devices is not permitted during the race.

Water and fruit will be provided at the finish line, please keep this area clear once you finish. A shuttlebus will be available to the left of the finish line to take participants back to race HQ/Car park should you require, where tea/coffee and refreshments will be served.

Prize giving will take place for each category as they come over the finish line.
