Rás an Bhuailtín – Ballyferriter 10km summer run. After it’s inaugural success in 2011, Rás an Bhuailtín will be held again on Saturday 18th August at 12 midday. This race is located in Ballyferriter, Co. Kerry, 9 miles west of Dingle. It is Ireland’s most westerly 10km run and the race includes a kilometre accross Béal Ban Beach. The race is being organised as a fundraiser for two local committees – the youth branch of An Ghaeltacht Football team (Bord na nOg) and for a new local playground in Ballyferriter. The rás will begin and finish at Ballyferriter school and will be followed by a family fun packed afternoon, bbq, bouncing castles, music etc. Bígí ann gan teip. The race is also perfect prepartion for any participants of the Dingle half and full marathon on Saturday 1st September.
Online entry is open til 4pm Friday 17th but it is then possible to register the morning of the race at Ballyferriter school from 1030amonwards, or between 7.30-830pm on Friday night also at the school.
