The Polkadot Challenge has become established as one of the best club-run leisure cycling challenges in Ireland, and over the past number of years has attracted cyclists from every corner of the country. Participants will be able to enjoy the breath-taking scenery around the West’s beautiful lakes along the undulating roads of the Partry, Sheefrey and Joyce Country Hills that have become synonymous with this event. You can choose from a 160km or 80km route, depending on your level of fitness and experience.  With over 1000m of climbing, the 160km route is designed to challenge more experienced leisure cyclist and consists of a mixture of flat sections around the West’s lakes and the hill climbs through the mountainous sections of the course. The 80km route has only one climb (Maamtrasna) and is achievable for any cyclist who puts in a few months training ahead of the event.
