from Athletics Northern Ireland The Seeley Cup 10k Road Race is one of Northern Ireland’s most popular road races, with up to 1000 participants expected this year. Podium 4 Sport is delighted to announce their lead sponsorship deal with Athletics Northern Ireland and Willowfield Harriers for the event which will take place on Saturday 27th November in Ormeau Park, Belfast.
The organisers had to close the entries early in 2009 due to the high numbers that entered. The course in Ormeau Park has been amended to cater for just over 1000 runners for the 2010 race so the advice is to enter early online in advance of the closing date of Monday 22nd November. 500 have already secured their place!
Technical running has always been a core element of Podium 4 Sport providing expert advice from highly trained staff, all the top brands, and their own Video Gait Analysis equipment in store.
For those runners who enjoy heading off the beaten track, there is an excellent selection of trail running shoes in the fantastic new Outdoor Store at the Montgomery Road premises.
Paul Rothwell, Managing Director of Podium 4 Sport comments
“We are very impressed with the organisation and commitment of everyone at Athletics Northern Ireland. It has been a pleasure being in partnership with them for the 2010 10K races.”
Podium 4 Sport has also provided all Seeley Cup entrants with a complimentary 10% Loyalty Discount Flyer for use in store.
The Seeley cup has been going since 1982 and the organisers are hoping to have the highest number of entries ever. There is a total prize fund of over £1500 and many of Northern Ireland’s top road racers will be in action including Brian Campbell, Alan McCullough, Cathy McCourt and Karen Alexander.
Podium 4 Sport became Athletics Northern Ireland’s official sports commercial partner and as well as providing financial support and prizes for the Titanic Quarter 10K, Les Jones 10K and Seeley Cup 10K the 2,000 athletes registered with the body can avail of in-store discount at Podium’s superstore in Montgomery Road and online at www.podium4sport.com.
