 Wexford has proven itself over the years as Ireland’s record breaking course. In 2012 a Guinness world record was broken in retro running! Individually people have consistently got PB’s. In 2014: Half marathon 76% PB’ed and 10km 63% PB’ed. And 93% said they were likely to do a PB on the course. Wexford is a fast course…
The Charity Initiative is back in 2016. When the race gets 1,500 entrants the event will donate €2,000 to Wexford Marine Watch & €2,000 to Pieta house.
The half marathon participants run through the iconic gardens of Johnstown Castle. Half marathon also has pacers catering for 1.30/ 1.45 / 2hrs.
Wexford has proven itself a must do race for quality, friendliness and atmosphere. Parking is easy and the course has plenty of variety starting in the town and taking you around surrounding countryside.
