Disappointment for Paul Hession as he misses out on 200m Final Jamaican Usain Bolt ran the fastest time of the Men’s 200m semifinals at the National Stadium, pushing him into the final as the man to beat.

Churandy Martina from the Netherlands Antilles was first in the first semifinal in a time of 20.11.

Zimbabwe’s Brian Dzingai was second in 20.17, while pre-race favourite Walter Dix of the USA was third in 20.19.

Britain’s Christian Malcolm took the final qualifying place, finishing in 20.25 .

Hession ran his quarter-final in 20.32, while his personal best is 20.30, so he would have needed his best ever performance to progress.

Bolt was 1st in the second semi final, with Shawn Crawford in 20.12 and Wallace Spearmon 20.14 both U.S.A took 2nd and 3rd respectively and Kim Collins ran a season best of 20.25 to take 4th place.
