Race Route

The Race start line is approx. 600m from the Community Centre up the L6212 from the start to the top of the Mountain the elevation takes the runners from 255ft above Sea Level to a staggering 1031ft. The first 2 miles to the base of the Ox Mountains the climb is gradual, from the 2 mile mark the gradient increases significantly to the top of the Mountain, the Half way split will actually be located 4 miles into the run at the top of the Mountain, this will be used to find our fastest Male and female to the top both of whom shall be crowned King & Queen of the Mountain respectively on completion of the Run.

The route then takes the runners across the top of the Mountain where they turn right to travel down the well-known Ladies Brae. The Runners can on their descent take in the fabulous views on offer. Approx. 3 mile down the runners turn right over Ross /Cloonagh Road, here they encounter two more sharp inclines before turning left down the steep Conragh hill which takes them back to the finish line. Below is a snip picture taken from Map my run showing the route and the elevation.
