from Athletics Northern Ireland To celebrate the 30th year, the organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon have launched their Official Sports Apparel with Asics and Up and Running. On Thursday 4th November, the team held a fashion show in the Premier Inn, Waring Street to showcase their items.
The models included Cathy Waddell, Arlene Pettinger and Orla Smyth, who are representing the 30th year as the “Faces of 2011.” Also in attendance were pacers Marty Rea, Stuart Kennedy, Alan Ritchie and Jim Moore who will once again be putting their best foot forward to guide participants around the course so they will complete the course in their aspirational time. Partners and charity representatives took part also to show their support.
All guests received a goody bag and some came away with special prizes from the raffle. All proceeds of the evening went to the two official nominated charities; Transplant Sport UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
