Celebrate the Newtown Blues GFC 125th Anniversary with us and include this event as part of your Marathon preparations. The Newtown Run 12.5k takes place on Sat 15th Sept @ 2pm. The Course has been officially measured and the event is approved by the Athletics Association of Ireland. The run will be chip timed and there will be various prizes on offer. The first 200 registrants on www.runireland.com will also receive a small memento on the day and post race refreshments will be provided. Registration is E15 on-line which is available until Thur 13th Sept or E20 thereafter at the Club grounds from 10am to 1pm on the day of the run. The course leaves the Newtown Blues clubhouse on the Termonfeckin road in Drogheda and winds its way through Greenhills, along the beautiful Boyne estuary, past historic Beaulieu House and through the townlands of Newtown Stalaban and Town Rath, before heading home by the Ballymakenny road, Greenbatter and Newfoundwell to finish in the Club grounds.
