My Sport Enniscorthy 10k

0

The annual My Sport Enniscorthy 10K is will take place on Sunday February 13th 2011 at the new time of 12.00pm. The new time is in response to feedback from participants.

Walkers

Also an important point to note is that walkers will start with the runners at 12.00pm and again this is because the walkers are telling us that they want to be part of the main start. The walkers will start just behind the runners to alleviate any possible congestion.

Chip Timing

Over recent years numbers have grown significantly and we are introducing ‘Chip Timing’ to speed up the results process and make things more efficient at the finish line. For this reason we have had to increase the entry fee slightly.

Where the money goes

We are conscious of keeping the cost of the race at a reasonable level while still hoping for a small surplus; all money raised from the race goes towards Slaney Olympic AC club development. With a prize fund of over €3000, refreshments, spot prizes and a souvenir for the first 750 to register we still feel that the race is very good value for money!

Slaney Search & Rescue is the events nominated charity. They will be in attendance on the day and will accept donations from anyone who wants to make one.

Prizes

Thank you to My Sport, Enniscorthy, for sponsoring our event. Thanks also to Mizuno, Creane&Creane Insurance and Enniscorthy Enterprise and Technology Centre for providing valuable additional sponsorship. We are delighted to announce that we now have a bonus fund of €1000. We have €500 for breaking the Men’s Event Record (30’25”) and €500 for breaking the Women’s Event Record (34’52). Also this year we are doubling the team prizes to €200 so now there’s even more incentive to make up a team of four.

Categories: U-19, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+. Category win €40. Men/Women.

Teams: 4/team. Winning team €200. Men/Women.
