On line entry through Run Ireland.com is proving a big hit with runners. The 2010 My Sport Enniscorthy 10K is shaping up to be the biggest year so far for the event. There has been a marvellous reaction to on line entry and this has attracted many additional runners from all over Ireland and abroad.
With just over a month to go race preparations are well underway. The members of Slaney Olympic are really looking foward to welcoming around 500 athletes to this year’s event.
The race has always been well supported over the years as it is one of the major fundraisers for the club annually. This year Slaney Olympic is hoping the race will raise funds for the Share a Dream Foundation also. Club member Maria Murphy is the driving force behind this and she is hoping that some or all of the participants might make a small donation to the charity. She will be waving her bucket on the day. So far over the years the race has always been blessed with fine weather and after the last few weeks hopefully this year will be no exception. The 10K takes place on St Valentines Day in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. There’s a €500 bonus this year for a new event record, so get down to some serious training and get down to Enniscorthy this Valentines Day!!
