Jan 18th Taghmon/Camross GAA are holding their first Mud, Sweat and Tears adventure challenge on Saturday the 18th of January. The base for the day is Taghmon/Camross GAA Complex and registration starts at 10.30am with the first wave of participants off at 11am and the rest of the waves off in short intervals.
There is the option of a 4km Fun Run – ideal for burning off the Christmas turkey or just having a fun morning with friends or for the more competitive, there is the 8km Mud, Sweat & Tears Adventure Challenge – ideal as a team building exercise for any sports team or business. There will be €500 worth of prizes on the day.
Two team events – one for men and mixed teams and another event for women only. A team consists of 4 participants. There will also be 8km events for individuals on the day. The cost of the event is €20 for individuals or €70 for a team (team price is an early bird price if you register online before the event).
The course has 25 obstacles including some notable water features. Nothing too tough but we can safely say at the end you will be wet, mucky, a bit sore and cold.
There will be water and bananas at the finish line and refreshments in Taghmon/Camross Community Centre after the event. There is also showers, changing rooms and car parking facilities at Taghmon/Camross GAA club grounds.
