St. Finbarr’s A.C. is delighted to again team up with the Mizuno sports gear and equipment company, which will continue as sponsor of the Cork Half Marathon for the 2007 race. This is major boost to the half marathon which sees its 16th running in 2007.
Mizuno representative for Ireland Mark Stevens said the company were very enthusiastic about continuing its association with the Cork Half Marathon which also combines the Cork County and Munster Championships.
The race route is run over a scenic course around the Blarney, Waterloo and Grenagh circuit just outside Cork city and is virtually traffic free.
The Cork Half Marathon has gone from strength to strength on recent years and has grown to around 400 runners with a total prize pool valued at €5000.
The race head quarters is, once again, at Blarney G.A.A. pavilion in Blarney village where ample car parking, showers, changing rooms and refreshments are available to all competitors.
