Four miles road race that starts and finishes in Ferns village, Co. Wexford (on the N11 halfway between Gorey and Wexford towns) Organised by Sliabh Buidhe Rovers athletics club Accurately measured course using Jones counter – each mile is marked Entry fee 10 euro – can be made via online entry on www.runireland.com or can be made on raceday in Ferns community centre from 4pm Hot refreshments after race in The Courtyard restaurant, Ferns, followed by prizegiving and race video in The Thatch pub, Ferns Cash prizes for first six senior males and first six senior females Cash prizes in vets categories of 040, 045, 050 and 060 for males and females Cash prizes for juniors and for first male club team (four to score and will receive the Mick Murphy memorial cup) Trophies for first non-athletic club team The run is open to everyone, men & women alike, at all levels of running experience. The race also welcomes walkers, newcomers and people who just want a challenge and a great day out at an event with a friendly village atmosphere.
