Mick Murphy Memorial Four Miles Road Race

The Mick Murphy memorial four miles road race takes place on Saturday September 17th 2011 at 5pm, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The four miles road race starts and finishes in Ferns village, Co. Wexford (on the N11 halfway between Gorey and Wexford towns.) and is organised by Sliabh Buidhe Rovers athletics club. This is an accurately measured course using Jones counter – each mile is marked.

The run is open to everyone, men & women alike, at all levels of running experience. The race also welcomes walkers, newcomers and people who just want a challenge and a great day out at an event with a friendly village atmosphere.

Entry fee 15 euro – can be made via online entry on www.runireland.com or can be made on raceday in Ferns community centre from 3:45pm.

Hot refreshments will be held after the race in The Courtyard restaurant, Ferns, followed by prize giving and race video.

Prises

Cash prizes for first six senior males and first six senior females Cash prizes in vets categories of 040, 045, 050 and 060 for males and females. Cash prizes for juniors and for first male club team (four to score and will receive the Mick Murphy memorial cup). Trophies for first non-athletic club team.
