Claire McCarthy (Leevale) was the highlight performance over the weekend with a personal best of 2:38:00, and world championship qualifying time, in Berlin. McCarthy’s form has been on the rise since running in the half marathon in the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam last summer.

Gladys Ganiel (North Belfast Harriers) also had a good performance running 2:39:10.
