Marathon Day marathon is an event created to celebrate Marathon Day (26.2) and will take place in Ballina, Co. Mayo on the 26th February 2016 with start @ 10am.
This event is a self sufficient event targeting experienced runners who would like to celebrate Marathon Day by completing marathon distance.
Marathon is going to take a place on AAI approved looped course (1.5km ish lap) which needs to be completed 28 times to achieve marathon distance.
Every participant will receive specially designed Marathon Day medal after completing marathon distance.
Please note that this is low key event, and you should bring your own gels/food which can be left at the water station at start/finish line.
Event is limited to 30 runners.
Cancellations – cancellations can be requested by contacting event organisers @ [email protected] before 1st February and will occur with 50% fee refund. strictly no cancellations after 1st February 2016.
Event details and schedule
Race numbers collection on the day @ Ballina Town Soccer Club in Belleek Woods from 9am.
Race is going to take a place on 1.5k (tarmac surface) looped course around soccer grounds. Each participant will have to complete 28 laps of the course to complete marathon distance.
Parking and changing facilities will be available @ start/finish (soccer clubhouse).
